About Me
Having first sat in the client chair in my early 20s, I have first-hand experience of how daunting it can feel to initiate therapy, but also how life-changing the process can be when working with the right therapist for you.
It was through that initial experience as a client that I realised something I had always known deep down… I was made to be a therapist. Therapy helped me to understand what I truly wanted from life and how best to go about achieving it, and since then I have been on a path to becoming the experienced, professionally trained and qualified psychotherapist that I am today.
I completed a Masters degree in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy from the University of Roehampton, and have been working with a community-based charity in Croydon (Centre of Change) since 2021. As well as being in private practice, I also offered my services on the online BetterHelp platform in 2025, conducting over a 175 sessions with a therapist rating of 5.0 out of 5.0, as rated by my clients on the platform. In addition to this, I work at John Ruskins College in South East London where I provide counselling to students aged 16 and above.
About My Approach
Having been trained across various modalities of therapy, I am able to work flexibly, offering my clients an individually-tailored approach that best suits them in any given moment.
However, what does stay consistent in my approach is building an authentic, collaborative, human relationship in a warm, supportive, non-judgemental environment.
While completing my Masters level degree training in 'Integrative Counselling & Psychotherapy', I explored a range of therapies including Person-centred, Psychodynamic and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, from which I've drawn on different elements to develop a unique approach of my own. In gaining this qualification, it became clear to me that, above all, it is the quality and nature of the client-therapist relationship that most determines whether therapy is effective for clients.
Hence the name, Healing Connection.
